Shopping at — or donating to — one or all four of DAP Health’s Revivals Thrift Stores (in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Palm Desert, and Indio) funds hope and health for the more than 10,000 individuals who call DAP Health their wellness home.
That’s because the Revivals brand of resale donates 100% of its profits (more than $1 million a year) to support quality, culturally competent, comprehensive medical and mental health care at DAP Health. Find yourself at Revivals, relove the preloved, and create the community you crave.
The very first Revivals store was opened in 1995, in a back corner of the Desert AIDS Project office on Vella Road, as an innovative, win-win effort to enhance the resale shopping experience for the local community while raising much-needed funds for the organization. Since those early days, the profits earned through the reselling of donated, preloved goods at Revivals have supported the entire array of programs and services at DAP Health. The brand also provides a wonderful volunteer opportunity to those wishing to give of their free time and retail talent. Today, all four locations are largely volunteer-run, enabling Revivals to fund an even greater portion of the nonprofit’s entire annual budget.
DAP Health is an internationally renowned, advocacy-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) based in Palm Springs. Its mission is to improve the overall well-being of the entire desert community — especially the disenfranchised who face disparities in accessing care due to sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or class — by making health equity and justice a reality.
Founded in 1984 in the face of the HIV/AIDS crisis, today the nonprofit provides comprehensive, culturally competent, quality wraparound services that include primary and preventative medical care, HIV care, sexual wellness testing and treatment, gender-affirming care, dental care, mental health care, social services, affordable housing, and more. No one is ever turned away due to inability to pay.
